Sassy, dramatic, hot-headed are just some of the words used to describe me since the time I was born. A few little mishaps growing up and my mom has a running ‘Emerson Baker’ prayer circle, and I have the reputation of a spit-fire that won’t go away.
I prefer the terms loyal, passionate, fiery, and possibly a bit impulsive.
So when my best friend proposes the concept of starting our own business, I jump on the idea.
That should be our motto… because your secrets can’t stay hidden for long with Trixsters Anonymous on the case.
We are the moonlighting duo hell-bent on helping those who suspect their lovers are cheating. We’re professional, careful, and completely anonymous…What could possibly go wrong?
Walker Scott… that’s what goes wrong.
I never stood a chance against the gorgeous, hazel-eyed, fiercely determined man who storms into my life and completely blindsides me.
He’s the proof that opposites attract—and when they do, the chemistry is explosive.
Did I mention he’s also a detective? A very, very, talented detective?
Pretty soon being a Trixster is a lot more complicated.

"You are who you are, and he seems to like your version of trouble."
Finally. I've had Ahren Sanders on my TBR list for a long time. After being teased and tempted by her covers and graphics I finally cleared my schedule and hid away with sexy Walker and sassy Emi. What a delightful time I had with them. They entertained me to within an inch of my life. I enjoyed them so much I started reading slower towards the end, trying to delay the inevitable. But alas, our time together ended anyway, but I had a smile on my face. And I'm making plans to stalk the author to make sure I'm waiting in line when her next treasure is released.
Emerson & Maren are my new girl crushes. I totally fell in love with these hilarious besties that kept me in stitches. They are sweet and fun loving and dangerous. Underestimating them is mistake that a few lived to regret, to my amusement. I never knew what they would be up to next, but I couldn't wait to find out.
Walker is the new man in town. He can't walk into his job as detective at the local police station, or the local bar without being swarmed by women hoping to catch his eye. He's all that, and they all want him. But none of them catch his attention...
until her. And once she does, there's no turning back. No matter where he turns the gossip mongers are sharing a new titillating story about her. It seems she's drawn to drama,
and he's drawn to her. And once Walker Scott sets his mind, there's no changing it. Their circle of friends start making bets about him asking her out. Everyone feels the electricity sparking between them. Cue music, time to swoon. He has a tendency to inform rather than ask. It's sexy as hell. But Emi is used to doing what she wants without asking permission.
Yup. You guessed it. The girls are getting new clients at Trixters Anonymous, but keeping it on the down low is kinda hard when there's a detective all up in their business. They have some pretty awesome disguises when they are on a stake out. Will it be enough to keep them hidden in plain sight when Walker keeps showing up?
Y'all, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book. I giggle-snorted. Out loud. Multiple times. It's so funny. It's so sexy. But that's not all. Nope, there is sweet too. And if that's not enough, there is suspense. And not just cheating scenarios, there's real danger. I was giggling one minute and gasping the next. I went from fanning myself and blushing to holding my breath and biting my nails with worry. I sighed at the sweetness. I laughed at the silliness. I loved it. ♥

Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing.
Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach, which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand.
