Freya is a newer author to me, but this book will have me reading more for sure. I'll be honest, the cover was got me to read it, but the story itself hit close to home. It's told in a dual POV. The main characters could not be more opposite than these two.

Mia has been living her life pretty much secluded to herself. She completely went off grid because of something had happened to her several years back. Mia is a diagnosed agoraphobic and suffers from horrible anxiety.

Jared was a professional hockey player, until a bad knee injury ruined his career. He has pretty lived off his fame everywhere he went. He comes off a player with the women. Jared is still trying to come to terms with fact his life is forever changed because his career in hockey is over.

Mia has a new neighbor across from her secluded little cottage. Before the new neighbor moved in, there was a plethora of builders completely renovating the place. Mia still hadn't met the mysterious man who was now residing there. When they first do meet, Mia doesn't really say to much. Jared's younger, very pregnant little sister, Jordy moves in with him. He wanted to have her there so she could have the help with little one. When Jordy is in labor, Mia hears the cries for help and rushes to help.

Can Mia overcome her anxiousness to build a new friendship? Does Jared get Mia to step outside of her "box"? Will Jared and Mia become more than neighbors?

This story as I said before hit close to home for me because I can completely relate to Mia. I loved the build up of Mia and Jared. The book itself was extremely good. I'm curious to see if there will be more to come.
