Need You Now (Man of the Month #3) by J. Kenner

It takes more than sparkly balls to enter the danger zone of falling for your best friend's twin sister.
What a brilliant idea to save a local bar, right? Who wouldn't love to vote on the Man of the Month? I'm really enjoying this series, it's getting better and better as each book either introduces new characters or gives us a closer look at some we've already met. And the wicked author teases us by giving us glimpses of chemistry between certain couples but then makes us wait to find out if it will develop into anything. But I can't deny it's fun to guess what will happen next and to anticipate the outcome of their extreme efforts to save their local bar, The Fix. They are pulling out all the stops and bringing in some interesting celebrities to build the hype. What I wouldn't give to have a ticket to watch that show on Wednesday nights!
Cam is somewhat of a nerd, taking some ribbing by his friends for his interest in old books. He's currently attending college and working as a bartender at The Fix. In spite of his understated grooming, he's very popular with the ladies. And now that they've seen his abs after his last-minute entry in the February Man of the Month contest, he's even more sought after. Well, at least by the ladies he's not interested in. The only woman he wants up close and personal with his abs treats him like a brother and would be shocked if she knew what he was thinking about her.
Mina is a tiny dark-haired pixie who brings out the protective side of men, but that's not what she's looking for. She's always been drawn to bad boys that know what they want. She's never seen Cam as anything other than a brother, until she did. Maybe it was the roar of the crowd when he pulled off his shirt during the Man of the Month contest that made her take another look at him. And it wasn't a brotherly feeling that she felt...
Woo Hoo! What fun it was to anticipate the explosion when Cam's unrequited love was finally brought into the light. His interest in Mina seemed to be obvious to everyone but her, and I was so anxious for her to finally wake up and see what she was missing. And I couldn't wait for him to show her all those things he'd been fantasizing about. It was the logistics that were in question. The fact that he felt like she was forbidden and unavailable to him really slowed down the process which made the sexual tension between them even more delicious as they fought their feelings.
And can I just say how excited I am about a possible future book that might feature Mila's twin brother, Darryl. I didn't learn too much about him, but just enough to make me very intrigued for more. I'm enjoying this series so much that I'm really wishing there were more months in a year because I'm not ready for it to end anytime soon. I can't wait to see who they will convince to strut down the runway next. The line forms here...
