One Night (Lighter Ones) by Aleatha Romig

I have always loved Aleatha, but her lighter side is just that light! She brings out the fun, romantic comedy side in her writing and quite frankly it's refreshing. This book was perfect for a good laugh and learning to date again after a long time.
Amanda (Mandy) is a widowed mom and had finally started to pick up her pieces of her shattered heart. She is always willing to help and do things for others, including her son, Jase, before herself. She is witty and can be bold at times. She lost her late husband, Jackson, who was serving in the military.
Malcolm (Pep) is a former NHL hockey player turned teacher. He wanted to do something with his life after he retired from a grueling career in hockey. He studied new and inventive ways for teaching and implemented them into his classroom. He is grown accustomed to the playboy ways and is ready for a change.
Mandy is being set up on a blind date by her best friend, Sally, and her man, Brian with his friend, Pep. Mandy really doesn't know much about him, other than Brian thinks he might have some trouble getting it up. While out waiting for her friends, she meets Malcolm. Little does she know, Malcolm is Pep. They hit off and decide to make one night of it because of their instant chemistry.
Will one night be enough for either of them? Can Mandy open up her heart to another man? Does Malcolm show her that he to has changed?
This book was a fantastic read! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for some funny banter, light hearted romance, and to more than one night. Excellent job Aleatha!
