Say Yes is the second book that I have had the opportunity to read by this author. If you like a touch of kink and bdsm along with m/m romance then this is the book for you. Say Yes is a quick read, I devoured it in just a few hours. Although I enjoyed the story, I didn't feel quite as connected to the characters as I would have liked. It is well written and fast paced and the author does a great job of building the story of James and Charles.
James has lead a privileged life until his father became ill and passed away. Now his mother has cut him off and he has to get out in the world and work for the first time. Losing his condo and having to move into the dorms was not what he ever expected he would have to do, let alone find a job to pay his bills. I have to say I absolutely HATED his mother. What a selfish, ungrateful, snotty, bitch. James does not let all of this get him down. He finds a job at a high end clothing/suit store to pay his bills and put food on the table. With his upbringing James was taught to keep his true self hidden and he has done well until Charles walks through the doors of his store late one night.
Charles lives a life that only the wealthy enjoy. He has no shortage of women to keep him occupied in and out of bed. But what he truly wants is to find a submissive that will keep not just him happy, but the submissive happy as well. He has been burned before and isn't looking for a relationship. He just wants someone to bend to his way and enjoy the lifestyle that he is a part of. When Charles meets James, he finds himself having to work harder than ever to gain his attention and the one word "yes" that he wants so badly to hear rolling of James' lips.
Can Charles win James over and show him what it is like to truly be cared for or will the age difference and inexperience push them apart? You can feel the sexual tension radiating off of both of them when they first meet. I love how James taunts Charles and gets him flustered, he isn't afraid to mess with him. At the same time, James has this strong desire to experience what Charles has to show and teach him. But he is going to make Charles work for it.
